Lifestyle Engagements-Brian & Bree

It is so much fun to get to photograph people just having fun. That's the way it was for this engagement photo session with Brian & Bree. They were unsure on what style they wanted so I asked what they enjoyed doing together. Cooking was the first thing out of both of them. With a chuckle by me it was decided. Engagements would be in my kitchen with a cooking theme. After an intense cleaning of my kitchen, and clearing some clutter, it was ready.

I brought out a bag of flour, choc chips, bowls, spatulas, etc. When Brian & Bree arrived I staged them in the kitchen as background after having her write their save the date info on the cooking island which had been dusted with flour. They quickly relaxed and had fun with it feeding each other chocolate chips, getting flour on hands and kissing and cuddling. Bree had brought with her a bottle of their favorite wine and her grandmother's glasses so I had them change and then staged an intimate wine and cupcake scene. One of the more interesting shots was from the oven where we had a remote controlled camera inside the oven with them pulling out a baking sheet of cookies.
A fish eye lens lets you see from the oven's perspective... haha, plus it told me I needed to clean my oven.
Then it was time to take Buddy, their Beagle and head to the park for a few outdoor portrait images. Very fun day, very fun, unique photos for this couple and hopefully, a memory of their wedding process they will carry for years.
